Super Bowl I

The first ever Superbowl happened on January 16, 1967 in the Las Angeles Memorial Coliseum. between the Green Bay Packers and the AFL Chiefs. With the Packers defeating the Chiefs and history being made with it. The NFL started back in 1869 with a few princeton boys playing a game of soccer when on of the decided to start throwing it instead of kicking. The game quickly grew popularity and the game of Football exploded.
Coming into the 60's the NFL had a huge rival, the AFL or American football league. Although previously the NFL came against rival leagues coming to the AFL was different. The AFL took the best players from old NFL teams and recruited them. Soon the NFL and AFL found themselves is a big league war.
Many memorable moment were made in that game, there were plenty of huge passes and amazing running touch downs. Definitely an exciting game to watch at the time or any time at that.
Super Bowl I was the final battle between the AFl and the NFL, with the Chiefs on the AFL and the Packers on the NFL. The final score came out to 10 to 35 with the Packers winning. From then on the NFL was the one and only football league.
With the Packers winning the game there was an obvious pay-day in line. Each player was given a $15,000 Bonus for the win. Huge amounts of money that times standards. The Chiefs even though loosing come out with a money bonus with each player getting around $7,500 for that one game.

Over 60 million people tuned in either on the televisions or actually at the game to find out the outcome of this game, an absurd amount in that days standards. The Packers and the Chiefs were in a close game in the first half but come the second quarter the Packers broke the suspense and drove forward making a few 50 plus yard touch downs.

There have been a total of 48 superbowls since the first one. Each carrying a piece of history with it and each marking a new point in NFL history. The first superbowl is still to this day the most important and one of the best moments in NFL history.

Earth day

This video was a summary of earth day and how it started. It started when a bunch of people started to become more aware of the horrible acts that were happening to wild life and our environment. People decided there was something that needed to be done. So a group of people started to try to stop the whalers and save the environment. As time went on more and more people joined in on this movement. The presence of saving the world was become more and more present. Many actions were taken place but all were either denied or couldn't get through congress. Even today earth day is a big deal for people all around the world and saving the environment is still a big deal to many.

In the Article "How Much Gas Does America Consume it describes the statistics of Americas gas consumption and how if we keep going on this path, eventually we will run out of fuel for our cars and have to start using natural fuels like electricity to power our cars and other things. I believe that if America and the world keeps going down this path than an epidemic will happen later on and it will be a bad time for America and the world.

In the second article i choose it talks about Global Warming and how it is quickly becoming a big problem for the world. If global warming keeps going at the pace it is going the it will only be within time that the world will not be able to survive anymore. this article discusses the key issues that represent global warming and address the issues at hand. this article also provides good information on how us as humans could help stop global warming.

All of my articles were very compelling. to address these issues i would first need to understand the key issues. For the first article i would say the everyone should be limited to a annual fuel consumption and if you go over that you will be charged heavily. for the global warming one, if everyone contributes and stops treating the environment as they are then we will see global warming going down solving the issue.
